Delete Your Account

Your Data, Your Choice
You can delete your ShiftEarn account and all associated data at any time. We make it easy because we believe you should always be in control of your information.
Option 1: Delete Account from the App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly within the ShiftEarn app:
- Open the ShiftEarn app on your device
- Go to the Settings tab (gear icon)
- Scroll down to the Data section
- Tap "Clear All Data" to delete all local data (shifts, jobs, goals, expenses)
- If you have cloud backup enabled, also tap "Delete Cloud Data" to remove all cloud-stored data
- Finally, tap "Sign Out" to sign out of your account
What gets deleted
- All shift records and earnings data
- All job configurations
- All goals and progress tracking
- All expense and paycheck records
- All cloud backup data (if enabled)
- Your account authentication credentials
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by email:
- Send an email to privacy@shiftearn.app
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the email address associated with your ShiftEarn account
- We will process your request and delete all associated data within 30 days
- You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
Processing Time
Email deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation once your account and all associated data have been permanently deleted.
What Data is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
Data Stored on Your Device (Local)
- Shift records (dates, times, earnings, tips)
- Job information (names, worker type, schedules)
- Goals and progress tracking data
- Expense and paycheck records
- App preferences and settings
Data Stored in the Cloud (if cloud backup was enabled)
- Encrypted backup data on our servers
- Account authentication information
- Subscription records (handled by Google Play / App Store)
Data Retention
- Local data: Deleted immediately when you clear data from the app. This cannot be recovered.
- Cloud data: Deleted immediately when you delete cloud data from the app, or within 30 days of an email request.
- Subscription data: Managed by Google Play or Apple App Store. You must cancel your subscription separately through your device's subscription settings.
- Anonymous analytics: Cannot be linked back to your account and is not included in deletion requests, as it contains no personal information.
Important Notes
- This action is permanent. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
- Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Pro subscription. Please cancel through Google Play or your device's Settings > Subscriptions.
- Export your data first. If you want to keep a copy of your earnings history, use the Export to CSV feature in Settings before deleting your account.
